  3. Hi Ravi, This is very helpful for bloggers to set up a Facebook Like box in their side bars. Chances are your readers are your biggest fans so you should make it easy for them to Like your Facebook page. But adding the box isn’t automatic so this article will be very instructional for people to add this to their websites.

    1. Hi Carolyn,

Yes it’s really good to provide an extra field to approach our blog with via Facebook.

I had to go an hunt how to do this back when I wanted it on my blog so I found the instructions but so many people aren’t that lucky. You’ve just walked them through how to easily install this Facebook code into a widget and it’s done. Love it and so easy to do too.

  6. Ravi — thanks for the simple explanation. Facebook is not my primary social media network and I wouldn’t want to imply that it is by including a Facebook Like Box on my site. But this a great way to wave a flag if you are a big Facebook user.

    1. Hi Jeannette,

      Welcome to my blog.:)

I understand your words and you are right. If someone is a regular user of Facebook then only it’s good to add the like box.

      Thanks for your comment.

      Enjoy the weekend.

  7. Hi Ravi,

You did a great job writing this tutorial and I’m sure many bloggers will find it helpful. It’s amazing that Facebook themselves do such a poor job of explaining this.

Quite a while ago, I wrote a similar article on this. The funny thing is that I no longer display the FB like box on my site. I’ve pretty much abandoned my Facebook business page and I stick to my personal account (on which I still share blogging/business related content occasionally).

The main reason that I stopped displaying the like box is because it added to my page load time. Still, for people who are using Facebook to promote their site, it can be something valuable to add.

    1. Hi Sherryl,

Yes for people who wants to promote their website via Facebook then they must use this like box so that their readers can connect with them.

May be it increase load time. I didn’t notice it. But still it is useful.

      Thanks for telling.

      Enjoy the weekend.:)

      ~Ravi

  8. Hi Ravi

That’s a really helpful explanation. I already had the FB box on my blog, but I certainly wish I had had such a detailed explanation when I was originally trying to do it.

Look forward to reading more of your posts. Joy

    1. Hey Joy,

First od all I would like to welcome you at my blog.

This is first visit here and I hope to see you again.;)

Thanks for stopping and dropping your input.

  9. Hey Ravi,

This is a great post for those that want to keep installing plugins as a limitation.

I thought this would require a lot of programming, which I’m not comfortable with, but I see that the coding is already done for you. All you have to do is copy and paste! Very simple enough! Thanks for the share and I hope your having a great weekend!

    1. Hi Sherman,

For bloggers it’s really important to take care that they shouldn’t bug their website with plugins. It is required to use minimum number of plugins.

Facebook like can be added just by pasting simple code.

      Thanks for your comment.

Ya I am enjoying my weekend. I hope you are having the same like me.;)

      ~Ravi
